About us

EirSEDS (Irish Students for the Exploration and Development of Space) is Ireland's national student space organisation, bringing together university teams, students, researchers, and industry to advance space engineering, science, and education across the island.

Our mission is to strengthen Ireland's student space ecosystem by fostering collaboration between universities, supporting ambitious technical projects, and creating opportunities for students to engage with the global aerospace community. We believe that by working together, Irish students can achieve far more than any one team alone.

EirSEDS serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, outreach, and national representation. We organise conferences, technical workshops, guest lectures, industry events, and collaborative projects that connect students with leading organisations in the space sector while encouraging the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

Our member organisations work across a diverse range of disciplines, including high-powered rocketry, liquid propulsion, satellite development, robotics, avionics, aerospace systems, planetary exploration, and space science. By bringing these communities together, we accelerate innovation, reduce barriers to participation, and help establish Ireland as an emerging contributor to the international space industry.
